The management of the school is under the guidance of Sri Aurobindo Society at Puducherry.

Mr. Pradeep Narang

Chairman, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry.

Born in an industrial family, Shri Pradeep Narang went into business after having completed Masters in Economics and looked after the family sugar mills and ancillary industries for two decades.

However, having been drawn to the teachings of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother he came to Puducherry in 1982. With something in him touched to the core, he decided to dedicate himself to spreading the light of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother in various ways, giving up business totally thereafter. In retrospect, he sees it as deeper, subtler, quieter search that was always within him that there was ‘something more’ to life than its seeming humdrum affairs. He is at present the full time honorary Chairman of Sri Aurobindo Society.

In his thirty years in the service of Sri Aurobindo Society he has guided the setting up and management of the schools run by the Society across the country, besides overseeing the other aspects of work of Sri Aurobindo Society. He looks into the financial, legal, campus/construction related matters and any key decisions regarding the school.

Mr. Vijay Poddar

Member Executive – Admin & Finance, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry.

Shri Vijay Poddar, otherwise known as ‘Vijay bhai’ is a guiding light and inspiration for all those who come in contact with him. He moved to Puducherry.

when he was a seven year old child and grew up in the blessed environs under the grace of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo. Vijay bhai studied in the school at Sri Aurobindo Ashram and then later became a part of the ashram. He lives and follows the principles of Integral yoga. As a pillar of Sri Aurobindo Society, he’s initiated many projects in a bid to take forward the aim of Sri Aurobindo Society, which is to facilitate the advent of a more spiritualised society in every walk of life.He never fails to inspire people to work for Sri Aurobindo and The Mother.

Dr. Ajit Sabnis

Director and Vice Chairman, AMIS, Ulsoor, Bangalore

Dr. Ajit Sabnis has been visiting Sri Aurobindo Ashram since his childhood and was blessed by the Mother for the first time in 1965. He is currently a full-time worker in the service of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, serving as the State Chairman of Sri Aurobindo Society State committee Karnataka, the Managing Trustee of Sri Aurobindo Complex Trust, and the Chairman of ‘Mirambika School for New Age’ in JP Nagar, Bangalore, affiliated with CBSE.

Dr. Sabnis has had an illustrious academic and professional career with several achievements, starting from rural Kannada medium schools of north Karnataka to IIT Madras, where he pursued his Doctorate Program with a Gold Medal. He has also received the Eminent Engineer National Award and the Best Editor Award. With over 300 completed projects and 250+ published articles in the field of Civil Engineering, his contributions have been significant. He has also been recognized for his contributions in the field of Sustainability and has represented India on several National and International forums.

Dr. Sabnis’s contributions in the field of Education are immense. He currently serves as the Chairman of Teachers Training steering committee for NEP 2020 implementation in the State of Karnataka. He has published Competency Based Teacher Guide Books for classes from BN to Grade 8 aligning with NEP 2020. He has initiated and conducted several Student Mentoring Programs, Teacher Training Programs across the country promoting Integral Education. His passion to craft something unique in education has resulted in creating a new school with educational research and training facilities.

Ms. Uma Mohan

Principal, Auro Mirra International School, Ulsoor, Bangalore.

Mrs. Uma Mohan has been the head of various esteemed institutions like Presidency School, Bangalore Military School, Kendriya Vidyalaya (as an AdHoc), Vinayaka Public School, Podar Jumbo Kids.

The varying responsibilities she has held in the field of education ranging from teacher, Head of Department, Researcher and Principal, have given her insight and experience in school administration and academics. Over her long teaching career, she has attained multiple accolades and achievements. In 2003, she was deemed a teacher of Excellence by Intel and represented India as a teacher educator for an Education Summit held in the US by Intel. Most recently she was felicitated by Dr T.V Ramachandra of CES, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore during the Lake Symposium 2018 held in Moodbidri, Karnataka.

Her passion for education knows no bounds as she intends to pioneer education in India to even greater heights! She has joined AMIS as the principal and hope she will enrich the institution with her gifts as well as be enriched by the environment here.
