The absence of bright sunshine welcomed the students and teachers to the school campus evoking apprehension in parents regarding the long day ahead of the picnic. This of course did not deter the enthusiastic children who boarded the bus in high spirits. Children entertained themselves with music, dance, games and slogans during the journey.
Shouts of delight arose from the children as they took a close look at the exotic birds in Shukhavana. Children were lucky to spot crocodiles and birds in Ranganthittu Sanctuary. The pleasant day saw us through to Balmuri falls. The sight of water tempted children to venture into water. Amidst strong protests by the children to be let into water, promise of an even more exciting picnic for the next session made the children board the bus on the homeward journey. The educative and entertaining day saw the end of the picnic with children carrying back cherished memories to be shared at home.
