Children love reciting poems with rhyme, rhythm, actions and colourful props. Poetry week was held in Auro Mirra from August 1, 2016 to August 6, 2016. It was a joy to see how each child thoroughly enjoyed reciting their poems in various languages, with actions and expressions, before their school mates. It was especially delightful to see and hear the tiny tots of Pre-Primary, recite the poems in their adorable demeanor and expressions. Each child was encouraged with a big round of applause by the patient audience. Through this poetry week, the children had a chance to explore the various elements of poetry and this helped in developing in them the confidence to face a larger audience. For a few, it also served as an inspiration to tap their creative sides and to come up with their own poems.
