Orientation Day for this academic year was held on June 4, 2016, at AMIS. The parents who joined our family this year, were greeted with welcome cards and smiling faces of didis. The programme commenced with silence, followed by Harvinder didi addressing the parents. Through an interactive session, she conveyed to them, how our school is a living experience with a joyous and friendly atmosphere, not confining the children to the walls of the classroom and catering to their physical, emotional, mental development and in the process, preparing them for a life long journey. The programme continued with Yamini didi briefing the parents about the rules and regulations of the school. This was followed by the introduction of the teachers, administration staff and the support staff. The parents were then divided into two groups. One group of parents was led to a fun filled activity where they experienced the powers of mind, which our children get to experience first thing every morning, wherein we try to develop various faculties in them, through games. The other group was led to planting of saplings, an activity which signifies that each child in AMIS is considered to be a sapling, whom we, teachers, nurture with our love and care.
