16th to 23rd July 2018
The ‘Poetry Week’ began on a high note as students from the pre-primary to primary participated enthusiastically in learning and delivering poems eloquently from 16th to 23rd July 2018. There were group as well as individual presentations in English, Hindi, Kannada and Sanskrit. Children came dressed up as characters in the poem and used beautiful props and models to add to the visual appeal of their presentations. The cute expressions and sweet voices of children from LKG and UKG stole everyone’s heart. For students of grades 1, 2 and 3, this was an opportunity to showcase their recitation skill. They readily learnt new poems on varied themes and recited them confidently. Students from grades 4 to 8 took to reciting some humorous and narrative poems which involved skilful acting and recitation. In all, the poetry week at AMIS was a grand success enjoyed thoroughly by everyone.
